Serian, the capital of Serian District, is not only known for its delicious durian but also for its stunning waterfalls. One of the most famous waterfalls in the district is Ranchan Waterfall, located just 5 kilometers from the town. This majestic waterfall is easily accessible by road, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. Another waterfall worth mentioning is Simuja Waterfall, although it has unfortunately suffered damage due to logging activities. Despite this, it still holds its natural beauty and is located approximately 7 kilometers from Serian town. Unlike Ranchan Waterfall, there is no proper road leading to Simuja Waterfall. Visitors who wish to explore this hidden gem must be prepared to walk 1-2 kilometers from the Serian-Sri Aman highway to reach it. These waterfalls add to the natural charm of Serian, attracting nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. In addition to the limestone formations and rice fields that can be seen on the way to Tebedu, there are several other attractions worth exploring in Serian. One such attraction is Gua Tiab Bilanting, located in Kampung Pichin. This fascinating cave offers a unique experience for visitors, with its intricate rock formations and mysterious atmosphere. Exploring the cave is like stepping into a hidden world of natural wonders. Another notable attraction in Serian is Bukit Parang, situated on the Sarawak-Kalimantan border. This picturesque hill offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The hill is also known for its diverse flora and fauna, making it an ideal destination for hiking and wildlife spotting.
