Ossu

Ossu is a town in the district of Viquequeque in East Timor, in the sub-district of Ossu. It is located in a straight line about 13 kilometers north of the district capital, Viquequeque, and about 91 kilometers southeast of the capital, Dili, at an elevation of 622 meters above sea level. Several mountains surround the town: Monte Mundo Perdido to the west, Builo to the south, the Matebian Massif to the east and Fatu Laritame to the north. There is Saint Theresina's Catholic parish church in town, consecrated on November 30, 2012. Ossu is also home to Saint Magdalena's College, run by the Canossian Sisters, and the parish sponsors many programs with and for its people.
