Carlsbergfondet Land is a group of nunataks in the north-eastern part of Greenland, in Queen Louise Land. From an administrative point of view, it is part of the North East Greenland National Park. A nunatak, from the Inuit word nunataq, is a mountain peak or ridge that rises from an ice field or glacier that usually covers most of the mountain or ridge. They frequently form natural pyramidal summits. Isolated nunataks are also known as glacier islands, and the smaller nunataks rounded by glaciers can be called rognons. The name of the area was "Carlsbergfondets Land" at the time of the 1912-13 Danish expedition to Queen Louise Land under the leadership of J.P. Koch.
