Larsen Sound

The Larsen Sound is an Arctic waterway in Canada's Kitikmeot region of Nunavut. It is found south of Prince of Wales Island, west of the Boothia Peninsula, north of King William Island and east of Gateshead Island. It opens out into the M'Clintock Channel to the west and northwest, Peel Sound to the northeast, James Ross Strait to the southeast and Victoria Strait to the southwest. Polar Bears often wander the ice shelves of Larsen Sound in search of food.
