Coburg Island in Nunavut is an uninhabited island that is part of the Queen Elizabeth Islands in the Lady Ann Strait of Baffin Bay. The Glacier Strait separates it from Ellesmere Island, and Devon Island lies to the south. The area is characterized by cliffs, rocky shores and tundra, and is a common habitat for Bowhead Whales, Narwhals, Polar Bears, seals, walruses and White Whales. Coburg Island has several nature conservation designations, including International Biological Program site and Key Migratory Bird Terrestrial Habitat site. The island and the surrounding marine area are part of the Nirjutiqavvik National Wildlife Area. Cambridge Point on Coburg Island is a Canadian Important Bird Area. In the area, you can see Black Guillemot, Black-Legged Kittiwake, Glaucous Gull, Northern Fulmar and Thick-Billed Murre.
