The Homhil Protected Area is rich in frankincense trees and other endemic wildlife. The area has Dragon's Blood trees, blooming bottle trees, sharp limestone ledges and cliffs, a canyon with rushing spring water, spectacular views, exotic desert flora, and so much more. There is a natural pool at the end of the hike along the stream, at the very end of the rocky plateau. The steep cliff face plunges more than a thousand feet down to the lowlands and the ocean. The whole territory, and the emerald green pool in particular, is a stunning natural site, adorned with a unique Socotran flora, with bottle trees and Dragon's Blood trees growing on the rocky and spiny limestone cliffs.
