The Pouso Alegre Lodge is located on a farm of 8000 hectares. The Pantanal vegetated farm is home to mammals such as tapirs, anteaters and deer, along with hundreds of bird species. The lodge is surrounded by water features and marshes, where the morning activity of birds, caimans and other animals encourages you to wake up and watch the sunrise. A series of paths spread throughout all sectors of the farm lead to different environments such as dry forests, flooded forests, savannahs, fields and swamps, offering the opportunity to observe all kinds of native fauna of the Pantanal. The wildlife habits of the Pantanal can be discreetly observed during the afternoon at blind shelters overlooking waterholes and marshes, which are visited during the dry season by tapirs, anteaters, deer, coatis and a variety of other mammals, as well as many medium-sized birds. At dusk, many species of animals begin their activities, which guests can observe during night safaris. You can see caimans, capybaras, deer, foxes, tapirs, anteaters, felines and others.
