Porto Jofre is a settlement in the south of Brazil, along the Cuiabá River, in the western part of the state of Mato Grosso. It is located at the end of the Transpantaneira Road, with the Pantanal Matogrossense National Park downstream. Porto Jofre is situated in the diverse Pantanal ecosystem and area, and is bordered by wetlands, with marshy areas rich in waterfowl, migratory birds and other wildlife. These are protected by the Ramsar Convention and are World Heritage sites.
