Ushuaia

Ushuaia is located at the end of southern Patagonia, the southern tip of Argentina, the end of the world, or as some say, the beginning of everything. It is surrounded by sea and mountain ranges. From wherever you stand you can look out over either and be amazed by the color and immensity of nature present in the city. As the capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands, Ushuaia is more than just a landscape of glacial valleys, peat bogs and ancient forests. The city offers city tours and places to enjoy culture, gastronomy and immerse yourself in the history of this mythical corner of the world. Ushuaia lies in a wide bay on the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bordered by the Martial-Mountain range to the north and the Beagle Channel to the south. In addition to being an administrative center, it is a light industrial port and a tourist hub. Ushuaia is located approximately 1,100 kilometers from the Antarctic Peninsula and is one of five internationally recognized Antarctic gateway cities.
