Nsongwe Village

Nsongwe is a very poor village located approximately 18 kilometers from Livingstone, it is home to 1,500 members of the Tokaleya tribe, and lies on a plateau above the Zambezi River. The villagers live in great poverty, most of them unemployed, as Livingstone has an unemployment rate of 70% and not many people with an education. The men carve wooden figures to sell them on the market, in fact it is their only industry.
